Mirimba is a trusted consultant, teacher, facilitator and coach to thousands of leaders and hundreds of organizations. She brings a lot of heart when working with her clients, knowing how challenging change is when we are going through it, and how rewarding it is when we look back. She delights in staging her clients for continuous success which includes iterative practices coupled with challenging feedback. She believes confidence is built through regular accomplishment, abundant encouragement and focused feedback.
 
She works with clients to build capacity in areas of leadership and organization development and alignment, in training coaches, facilitators and teachers and in redesigning organizations’ structures and cultures to support mission, vision and KPIs, be ready for disruption and focused on the future.
 
With 16 years of consultancy practice locally and globally, and 10 years of leading change in Singapore’s public service, Mirimba hopes to bring relevant theories, practices and testimonies to stir hearts, challenge minds and prepare plans to create vibrant, hopeful and future-ready workplaces in this Leadership and Organization Development and Alignment (LODA) series with APS.

Workshop Description

Strategic Planning is a lot of hard talk, why-this-not-that, raise-the-bar, faster-is-better. Let’s put the heart, dialogue and connection back to strategic thinking. After all, our organizations are more like orchards than factories. Using a roots-to-shoots approach, this workshop will offer a process for organizations to develop their strategic plans in alignment with core values, mission, vision, workplans and events. This will be done through discovery, dialogue, discussion, debate, deliberation and direction-setting. ASIA/RTS is part of the refreshed Learning Organization Basics workshop series.

Participants will:

  1. Learn to see how mission, values, vision, strategies, workplans and activities are inter-related
  2. Learn to see how forces (external and internal) shape organizations’ vision and strategies (eg Internet-of-Things & VUCA frameworks)
  3. Learn to be comfortable with dialogue and debate styles, and enjoy being influenced by others to ideate

Workshop Description

The Learning Organization approach is like an operating system. Once installed, it facilitates capabilities like learning culture, design thinking, leadership development, strategic alignment, systemic (re)structuring, engaging employees and being future-ready. The focus of this LO Basics workshop is to learn how to grow personal mastery and shift mental models adeptly to lead self and others and learn our way through the myriad of change initiatives.   2. Learn how to surface, suspend and test mental models to change our mindsets and solve problems

Leading change is complex, even more so in the fast-paced changing nations like Singapore.  Levels of Perspective (LOP) framework has helped thousands of Singapore leaders to discover what needs changing, and how to design and align change plans with their teams effectively. Consequently, LOP has guided the writing of many public policy papers and business proposals.  Join this workshop to learn to use LOP at your workplace.  We will engage your thinking through discovery and dialogue, enabling you to immerse in complexity and clarity.  DOSS/LOP is part of the refreshed Learning Organization Basics workshop series.

Participants will:

  1. Learn how visible systemic structures (org structures, policies, systems, processes etc) shape decision making and outcomes at the workplace, whether intended or unintended
  2. Learn how invisible systemic structures (personal and cultural beliefs) shape decisions, relationships and work culture
  3. Teach-back to increase confidence in using LOP at work

Living our lives guided by our values require us to first know what these are, and the degree of alignment these have with our organizations’ values, mission, vision and strategies.  This Core Values in Action (CVIA) workshop is designed for individual leaders to discover their core values, dialogue with others about team values and deliberate over missional values.  When resonance is deep across these 3 areas, we get to enjoy our work constantly.  As leaders we also face dilemmas on how to live in tension between competing values.  Learn boundary management to make sound decisions and try disciplining our thoughts to manage day-to-day stress to live well.  CVIA is part of the refreshed Learning Organization Basics workshop series.

  1. Learn to identify personal values and surface team values amongst colleagues
  2. Learn to assess alignment of personal and organizational values
